The Giant

For summer 2026, the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Volos, in collaboration with the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Roumeli, presents The Giant by Nikolai Erdman, adapted and directed by Alexandros Nikolaos Balamotis. Based on Erdman’s The Suicide, this farcical comedy brings together absurdity, satire and music in a world full of unexpected twists. The production creates a popular musical theatre spectacle, drawing on street theatre, traditional festivities and Aristophanes. Six actors and three musicians perform live on stage.
